Winedale's Fall Craft Festival

Saturday, November 7, 2026 (12:00 PM - 4:00 PM) (CST)

Description

Come enjoy crisp autumn vibes, good company, and a festive day at Winedale's Fall Craft Festival. This is a free event.

Winedale's grounds will be decked out in fall decorations, and the festival will come alive with music from a live band and performances by the “Cowboy Poet” Dakota Robinson. He’ll share his engaging ballads with festival goers.

There will be a wonderful lineup of talented artisans sharing their skills and beautiful handiwork. Visitors can watch a spinner at her wheel, see a treenware carver at work, a blacksmith at his forge and admire the beautiful creations of the Round Top Rug Hookers. A talented artist will also be showcasing her decorative floor cloths, and a gifted jewelry maker will display her own unique creations.

Two of the site's historic buildings will be open. Visitors can explore Hazel's Lone Oak Cottage and guides will be stationed throughout the Lewis-Wagner House to share its history and point out some of its special artifacts.

For those with a sweet tooth, Windy Hill Sweets will offer their beautiful decorative cookies for sale, and Ometa Honey will be there with their delicious honey. There will be some other fall-inspired goodies, too, along with lemonade and cider.

There will be arts and crafts for both kids and adults, so everyone will have a chance to get creative and join in the fun!

We’re also pleased to welcome two local organizations with ties to Winedale: Kreische Brewery and Monument Hill State Historic Site, along with the Fayette County Historical Commission. They’ll be joining us with hands-on activities that offer visitors a chance to learn a little more about our local history.

Two members of the Friends of Winedale board will be sharing their talents with festival attendees. Local author Babette Hale will read selections from her books and generously donate the proceeds from her book sales to Winedale. Master Naturalist Frank Michel will lead a nature tour at 2 p.m., offering visitors a chance to learn more about the natural beauty of the site.
