Winedale Zoom Talk: “The Battle of Adobe Walls” On Tuesday, November 19 at noon via zoom, Tammy Scarbrough, Lead Educator/Interpreter at the Goodnight Ranch Historic Site will discuss the Battle of Adobe Walls. She will explain that how after years of hostile actions from Native Americans and broken treaties by the U.S. government, things came to a head in the Summer of 1874 culminating he Second Battle of Adobe Walls. The Comanche force of 700 warriors, led by Quanah Parker, faced off against a group of 28 buffalo hunters and was the catalyst for the Red River War.
